With a tractor or an ATV it's not hard at all. It does demand ur attention. Starting early is paramount for establishing a healthy plot. For Oklahoma early to mid August is good. Spraying glyphosphate or 2-4D is a huge benefit. Spraying ahead of time at least. Starting early bc after u kill the grass/weeds turning the soil brings up new spores that then germinate. Even cereal grains that need at least 1/4" of depth do better tilled in after turning the soil a few inches deep. Fertilizing with high nitrogen content after seeding is ideal. This is when watering becomes live or die. Especially in the south and Midwest. With sufficient water, fertilization again a month later is good. To councide with water and fertilizer. Adding lime to the soil helps tremendously when seeding. Fertilizing demands more water or it burns up easy. In Oklahoma, with little fall rain, it establishes. Don't expect heavy growth without water. With just enough water it stays green without growth. In cessation preparation action and maintenance r necessary. Water, water, and more water for a healthy plot!
